Welcome to the HACCP for Food Safety website!
HACCP was developed for the NASA space program to produce safe food for the astronauts. The original system was developed by The Pillsbury Company working with NASA and the US Army Laboratories. HACCP is now finding its way in to many food manufactures around the world. The system which most of the training and systems are based upon is the CODEX Alimentarius Food Hygiene Basic Text published by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations World Health Organisation.
